Description
performance Description:
Prevents external contaminants from entering the system. A single-lip wiper (the lip refers to the protruding edge or rim of the seal) cleans the rod as it retracts. A double-lip wiper cleans the rod and seals in oil as the rod retracts, eliminating weeping (external leakage). The double-lip wiper is connected to the bearing carrier. These polyurethane wipers are covered in metal for added strength. They are commonly known as can wipers (metal-encased) or J-type wipers (the metal is typically J-shaped in cross section).
