Cat® engine mount for engine installation absorbs and dampens sudden shocks, reducing stress on the engine and surrounding components.
Description
The isolation mount is used to mount and locate systems, accommodate displacement, and isolate components from the surrounding structure (vibration, shock, noise).
The mount component is typically part of a two-piece mount group that is either symmetrical (two bases) or asymmetrical (base plus pad).
Features
Cat® mounting systems are designed to reduce the stress and strain on installed components, improve component durability and extend service life, and improve operator comfort. The entire system (mount design, material selection, placement, fasteners, etc.) is optimized and validated to meet specific application requirements.
Two-piece mounts can be fine-tuned through the rubber compound and design geometry to suit a specific application. The mounts are typically pre-compressed for long service life.
Applications
Two-piece mounts are used in a variety of Cat system installations, including engines, transmissions, aftertreatment systems, electronics, cab and HVAC systems, hydraulic components, and structures.
