Description
The machine hook is made from the end coil of a spring by bending the end of the spring wire outward to form a hook or loop. The cross hook is also made from the end coil of a spring, but it is first bent straight down toward the center of the spring, and then the spring wire is bent outward to form a hook or loop. This is a more stable hook than the machine hook.
