Description
A dowel pin is a headless straight pin with a tightly controlled diameter, installed by press fit in one or two parts to transmit loads or fix the position of adjacent parts. Hardware and fasteners are designed for specific applications based on size, strength, clamp load and past performance, information that is not available to other manufacturers. They are carefully selected to last until the machine is rebuilt or reaches the end of its life. Non-Cat hardware and fasteners may look like they will work on your machine, but other companies do not know your equipment the way we do.
