Cat® 79.3 mm OD hydraulic caliper brake disc piston
Description
The brake cylinder piston is a component of the braking device. It is typically a cylindrical part made of metal or another durable material, installed inside the brake cylinder, and moves in response to brake fluid pressure. When the brake pedal is depressed, brake fluid is forced into the brake cylinder, pushing the piston downward.
Features
- Able to withstand the high temperatures and pressures generated during braking.
- Helps deliver efficient and reliable braking performance.
Applications
The brake cylinder piston converts the force of the brake fluid into mechanical force to apply the brake pads to the drum. Widely used in Cat trucks and quarry trucks.
