Description
Spur gears are the most common gear type, consisting of a cylinder or disc with teeth projecting straight outward. In addition, spur gears typically look the same from both sides because the gear teeth are straight from one side to the other.

Cat gears have the highest power density in the industry (the power a gear can transmit relative to its size) and are designed with reusability in mind.
