Description
The backup ring is an anti-extrusion ring that prevents elastomeric seals, such as O-rings or piston seals, from being extruded or damaged under high-pressure or dynamic conditions. They provide support for the seal, limiting its radial expansion and maintaining its effectiveness.

Applications
