The backup ring prevents seal extrusion in high-pressure applications and can be used to protect the life of the overall sealing system from pressure spikes.
Features
The Cat® clamp head is designed in combination with elastic gaskets and contact components, significantly improving the life and function of the sealing system in high-pressure applications.
Clamp rings are always held to tight tolerances to ensure that they properly engage the gasket groove and contact surfaces. The materials selected are pressure-resistant and wear-resistant.
Safety rings can be solid or split. Split rings are easy to install.

Applications
The clamp is used in high-pressure static and dynamic sealing applications, such as hydraulic pumps, valves, and motor systems.
