Description
The coolant recovery tank, also known as an overflow tank or expansion tank, is an essential component of a vehicle's radiator system. The tank is connected to the radiator by a hose or pipe, allowing coolant to flow between the two. When the engine is running and the coolant temperature rises, the excess coolant expands. Instead of being released into the environment or causing pressure to build up in the cooling system, the expanded coolant flows into the coolant recovery tank.
