Description
The disc lock washer is used in applications where vibration or shock would cause conventional washers to loosen over time. It uses a wedge-locking system to prevent bolt loosening. The washer has two angled cams on its inside diameter that interact with the bolt threads and the mating surface. When the bolt is tightened, the cams wedge against each other, creating a locking effect that prevents the bolt from loosening due to vibration or shock. It is made of steel.
