Description
Track bushings are used in the track assembly of the undercarriage to provide a sliding or rotating interface between two parts. They are typically made of low-friction materials that reduce friction and wear between the two surfaces. They help maintain alignment between the shaft and the surrounding structure. The bushing is usually placed inside a housing, with the shaft passing through its center bore.
Attributes
- Material is cold extruded, giving it higher strength and hardness
- Heat-treated with a quenching process for greater toughness
- Rockwell C hardness 59-64 HRC, with better wear resistance
Applications
Track bushings support the two parts of the track assembly and enable smooth rotating or sliding motion between them. They are mainly used on Cat 304, 304.5, 304C, 305, 305.5, 305.5D, 305.5E, 305C, 305D, 305E, 306, MM40CR, MM40T, MM45T, and MM55SR Excavators.
