Description
The oil level gauge is a cylindrical metal tube used to measure the oil level in the engine. It works by inserting the gauge tube into the engine's oil reservoir, with one end of the tube connected to the engine oil pan and the other end extending upward and exposed to the atmosphere. The tube is marked with measurement indicators that show the current engine oil level. The tube has a washer or gasket that prevents oil from splashing out when the dipstick is inserted into the tank.
