Description
The oil level gauge dipstick is used in internal combustion engines to measure the oil level in the engine oil pan. The dipstick is usually a long, thin metal rod with markings indicating the minimum and maximum oil levels. To use the oil level gauge dipstick, the engine must be shut off and allowed to cool for a few minutes. Then remove the dipstick again and read the oil level by looking at the markings on the dipstick.
