7G-5622 35-Tooth Planetary Gear
Cat® 35 Tooth Planetary Gear for Torque Converters
Description
The spur gear is the most common type of gear and consists of a cylinder or disc with teeth projecting straight outward. In addition, the two sides of a spur gear are usually identical, because the teeth extend straight from one side to the other.
Features
- Material: Steel
- Spur Gear Teeth: 35
- Cat gears are manufactured from carefully selected high-quality materials in strict accordance with specifications matched to the loads used in Cat machines. They are made using special heat treatment processes (in some cases proprietary), including case carburizing, nitriding, and induction hardening. Cat gears have the highest power density in the industry (the power a gear can transmit relative to its size) and are designed with reuse in mind. As a result, they are more durable and can lower the overall operating cost of the machine.
Applications
Cat gears are built for specific applications to ensure that all power train parts work together as a system and wear together. Refer to your Operation and Maintenance Manual or contact MECHSC for more information.
