Description
Cat alternators (for example, part number 593-5347) supply power to the battery under any operating condition to power the machine. The alternators have proven best-in-class ruggedness, durability, and reliability, even at low idle. They come in two types: the brush design uses integral brushes to reduce maintenance and constant-force springs for even brush wear, while the brushless design has fewer moving parts and tighter air gap tolerances, with excellent sealing for longer life in harsh environments (dirt, dust, high or low temperatures).
