419-7227 7.5-14 Volt DC Speed Sensor
The Cat® traction control single Hall speed sensor uses the Hall effect to obtain accurate data, ensuring precise and responsive traction control in the vehicle
Description
The Cat Hall-effect single sensor has a Hall-effect element. Active Hall-effect sensors require an external power supply. The target gear square-wave output is the waveform function. Frequency is proportional to the surface speed of the target gear as it passes the sensor, but the voltage level is not proportional (unlike passive speed sensors). Hall-effect sensors can detect zero speed (unlike passive speed sensors).
Features
- One Hall-effect element
- One output, 3 wires (power, return, signal)
- Available with fixed nose lengths and depth-adjustable housings
Applications
- For applications requiring detection of zero or near-zero speed.
- Transmission output speed
- Rotational speed
- Timing
