Description
The charging alternator is used to generate electrical power to charge the battery and to power the parts of the machine that require electricity. It consists of parts such as a stator, rotor, rectifier, voltage regulator, and fan. During operation, the charging alternator uses mechanical power from the engine to rotate the rotor, which produces a changing magnetic field in the stator windings. This generates alternating current in the stator windings, which is then rectified into direct current by the rectifier.
