Description
The insert meters hydraulic oil and is included in the hydraulic cylinder piston group.
Features
The insert used in hydraulic cylinder pistons meters hydraulic oil and minimizes high-speed movement of the piston and rod assembly to avoid damaging the cylinder. As the pressure in the cylinder cavity rises, air can be vented through the insert, providing a cushioning effect when the piston reaches the cylinder head or red end.

This type of hydraulic cylinder insert is typically used when the hydraulic cylinder is in an application with sustained heavy loads, such as tilt cylinders on large track-type tractors.
