Description
The spring seat in the cylinder head is the component used to secure the valve spring and valve to the cylinder head. It is an important part of the engine valve train system because it ensures the valve spring maintains proper pressure on the valve, keeping it closed when needed and opening it when necessary. If the spring seat fails or is damaged, the valve spring and valve may come loose, resulting in severe engine damage.
