Description
The oil pump plunger is a cylindrical piston installed inside the oil pump. The main function of the oil pump plunger is to draw oil from the oil pan and deliver it under pressure to the engine's lubrication system. As the plunger reciprocates or rotates within the pump housing, it creates a pumping action, drawing in oil during the intake stroke and pushing it out during the discharge stroke.
