Cat® Fan Cross Shaft
Description
The cross shaft fan is a component of the engine cooling system used to regulate the operation of the engine cooling fan. It is found in vehicles with a mechanical engine-driven fan rather than an electric fan. The cross shaft fan is located at the front of the engine, between the engine and the radiator.
Attributes
- Reduces engine load, improves fuel efficiency, and lowers noise.
- Improves cooling efficiency by drawing more air through the radiator.
Applications
Cross shaft fans are used in heavy machinery to regulate engine fan speed and airflow, helping maintain optimal engine temperature and prevent overheating.
