Description
The radiator cap is designed to seal the top of the radiator fill neck to prevent coolant loss, pressurize the cooling system, and raise the boiling point of the coolant. The pressure created by the radiator cap helps prevent coolant from boiling and evaporating at high temperatures.

Applications
The radiator cap is used to prevent external contaminants from entering the coolant fill port and is used primarily on Cat C15, C18, C9, XQ1140, and C6.6 generator sets.
