Description
The camshaft idler is used in internal combustion engines to help drive the camshaft. It is usually mounted on a shaft and meshes with the timing chain or timing belt that drives the camshaft. The number of teeth on the gear determines the gear ratio, which in turn determines the speed and timing of the camshaft relative to the crankshaft.
Features
- Works with the sleeve bearing to provide a low-friction surface for rotation of the camshaft idler
- Built to exact specifications for durability and reliable performance
Applications
The camshaft idler helps ensure that the camshaft is driven at the correct speed and timing.
