Description
The shim is located at the bottom of the drawbar and is used between the wear strip and the drawbar because it helps ensure that the wear strip meets the mating surface by adjusting clearance and reducing friction. A shim is a thin, flat piece of metal or plastic with a hole in the center, used to distribute the load of a fastener such as a bolt or screw. A shim can also be used as a spacer to adjust the distance between two objects or surfaces.
Features
- Provides a larger surface area to distribute the load and prevent surface damage.
- Prevents fasteners from loosening.
- Prevents excessive movement of components.
Applications
The shim is used in the drawbar to connect with the wear strip.
