Description
The camshaft thrust plate is part of the engine and is used to prevent excessive movement of the camshaft in the cylinder block. The camshaft is responsible for controlling the opening and closing of the engine valves. The camshaft thrust plate is typically made of steel and is bolted to the cylinder block at the rear of the camshaft.
