O-rings are used for static sealing and some dynamic applications.
Attributes
Cat® O-rings are made from materials compatible with the fluids, temperatures and pressures in Cat engines and machines. These materials resist wear and extrusion, giving the seals excellent compression set resistance. In addition, some Cat O-rings are coated with PTFE to minimize seal twisting and cutting during installation.
Our O-rings are dimensioned to strictly follow tight tolerances, ensuring they are properly seated in the seal groove with the right seal compression.

| Material Description | Nitrile rubber (NBR) has a service temperature range of -40 to 100C and is resistant to fuel, gasoline, ultra-low sulfur diesel and lubricants. Nitrile rubber is not recommended for applications requiring biodiesel or coolant resistance. |
