Description
The oil pan gasket is a gasket that covers the gap between two or more mating surfaces and is typically used to prevent leakage outward or inward from joined components under compression. Gaskets are typically made from flat material or sheet material, such as paper, rubber, silicone, metal, cork, felt, neoprene, nitrile, fiberglass, polytetrafluoroethylene (also known as PTFE or Teflon), or plastic polymers (such as polychlorotrifluoroethylene).
